Use of this website
This website is provided for informational purposes and to allow you to contact us about our services. While we make every effort to keep the information on this website accurate and up to date, we do not guarantee that all content is complete, accurate, or current at all times.
You agree not to use this website in any way that is unlawful, harmful, or that could damage, disable, or impair the website or interfere with any other party’s use of it.
Quotes and pricing
All quotes provided by Cambs Fencing & Landscaping are free of charge and carry no obligation. Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date they are issued unless otherwise stated in writing.
Prices quoted include materials and labour unless explicitly stated otherwise. Any additional work that falls outside the scope of the original quote will be discussed and agreed with you before it is carried out, and any change in cost will be confirmed in writing.
We reserve the right to adjust a quote if the scope of work changes after the quote has been issued — for example, if unforeseen ground conditions are discovered during preparation. We will always discuss any changes with you before proceeding.
Bookings and scheduling
Once you accept a quote, we will agree a start date with you. We will make every reasonable effort to begin and complete work on the agreed dates. However, completion dates are estimates and may be affected by factors beyond our control, including weather conditions, material availability, and access issues.
We will keep you informed of any changes to the schedule and will work with you to minimise any disruption.
Payment terms
Payment terms will be agreed as part of your quote and confirmed before work begins. Our standard payment terms are as follows:
- For smaller jobs (under £1,000): full payment is due upon completion of the work
- For larger jobs (over £1,000): a deposit may be required before work begins, with the balance due upon completion
We accept payment by bank transfer, cash, or [other accepted methods]. Payment is due within 7 days of the completion of work unless otherwise agreed in writing.
We reserve the right to charge interest on late payments at a rate of 4% above the Bank of England base rate, in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel after accepting a quote but before work has started, please let us know as soon as possible. If we have already purchased materials for your project, you may be liable for the cost of those materials.
If you need to cancel or postpone work that is already underway, you will be liable for any work completed to date and any materials already purchased.
We reserve the right to cancel or postpone work if we believe it cannot be carried out safely or to a satisfactory standard — for example, due to extreme weather conditions or unsafe site conditions. In such cases, we will reschedule at the earliest opportunity at no additional cost to you.
Our workmanship
We take pride in our work and aim to deliver a high standard of workmanship on every project. If you are not satisfied with any aspect of the work, please contact us as soon as possible and we will do our best to resolve the issue.
All work is carried out in accordance with relevant industry standards and best practice. We are fully insured for public liability.
Guarantees
We stand behind the quality of our workmanship. If a defect arises as a direct result of our installation or workmanship within 12 months of completion, we will return to rectify the issue at no additional cost to you.
This guarantee does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear
- Damage caused by extreme weather events, accidental damage, or third-party interference
- Issues arising from ground movement, subsidence, or other conditions beyond our control
- Damage caused by failure to follow any aftercare advice we have provided
- Materials that carry their own manufacturer’s warranty — these are covered by the manufacturer’s terms, not ours
Materials
We use quality materials sourced from reputable suppliers. Where specific brands or products are agreed as part of the quote, we will use those products. If a specified product becomes unavailable, we will discuss a suitable alternative with you before proceeding.
Any manufacturer warranties on materials are passed on to you and are subject to the manufacturer’s own terms and conditions.
Site access and preparation
You are responsible for providing reasonable access to the work area. This includes ensuring that the site is accessible for our team and any materials or equipment, and that any vehicles, furniture, plants, or other items that may obstruct the work area are moved prior to our arrival.
If we are unable to access the site or begin work due to issues outside our control, we may need to reschedule, which could affect the project timeline.
Waste and disposal
Unless otherwise stated in your quote, we will remove all waste materials generated during the project and dispose of them responsibly. We will leave the site clean and tidy upon completion.
Liability
We are fully insured for public liability. Our liability to you for any loss or damage arising from our work is limited to the total value of the project as set out in your quote.
We are not liable for any indirect or consequential losses, including but not limited to loss of income, loss of use of your property, or costs incurred due to delays.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be legally excluded.
